How PixelForge AI Labs Ltd collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit pixelforgeai.net or get in touch with us, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

In short: we only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form, plus the basic technical logs needed to run a secure website. We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising trackers, and this website does not set cookies.

PixelForge AI Labs Ltd (“PixelForge”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent AI lab based in London, England, and registered in England and Wales. We operate two divisions: PixelForge Labs, which works with business customers, and PixelForge Apps, which builds consumer products.

For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the website at pixelforgeai.net and to enquiries you send us through it.

Consumer products released by PixelForge Apps (on the web, the App Store, or the Play Store) present their own privacy notice inside the product. Where a product does not provide a separate notice, this policy applies. Work we do for business clients through PixelForge Labs is governed by the data processing terms in the relevant written agreement, under which we usually act as a processor on the client’s instructions.

3. Information we collect

4. How we use it and why

We use personal data for the following purposes and rely on the lawful bases shown:

  • Responding to enquiries and discussing potential work: our legitimate interest in running our business and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
  • Operating, securing, and improving the website: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, secure, and working properly (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Complying with legal obligations: for example, record-keeping or responding to lawful requests from authorities (Article 6(1)(c)).

We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to or we have another lawful basis to do so, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions, and otherwise only where the law requires or permits it. We do not sell personal data.

  • Amazon Web Services hosts and delivers the website (AWS Amplify and Amazon CloudFront). Our hosting region is the United Kingdom (London); content is cached at edge locations worldwide for performance.
  • Formspree processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
  • Google Fonts delivers the typefaces used on the site. Your browser requests font files from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
  • Email, productivity, and professional advisers, such as our email provider, accountants, and lawyers, where needed to run our business.

We may also disclose information if required by law or court order, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers (for example, Formspree and Google) process data in the United States or in other countries outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or other safeguards recognised under UK GDPR to protect your information. You can ask us for more detail about the safeguards used.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and correspondence: kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange with you. If we enter into an engagement, we keep records for the duration of that relationship and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal, accounting, or contractual obligations.
  • Technical logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short period (generally no more than 90 days) unless needed to investigate a security incident.

When we no longer need personal data, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, so information you send us is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry data is limited to people who need it to respond to you, and we use reputable providers with appropriate security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to our processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive your data in a portable format where processing is based on consent or contract; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 14. We will respond within one month, or tell you if we need longer. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may also contact your local supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

10. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not store data in your browser. Links to third-party services such as LinkedIn or X lead to sites governed by their own privacy practices.

If we introduce analytics or similar technology in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before using it.

11. Children

This website and our business services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them through this site. Products released by PixelForge Apps state their own age requirements.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “last updated” date above. Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
